Application of the Week: TimeBar

Another helpful application this week: “TimeBar”

“TimeBar” is an application to enlarge and facilitate time management of S60 phones. Its main function is to display the current time everywhere, in every menu and every application.
Furthermore, it is able to announce the current time with a voice or a tone.

TimeBar:

“TimeBar” has a lot of settings to personalise the time readout and announcement.
First of all you can activate or deactivate the displayed time. This settings is useful, because the time in foreground might be annoying in games or some applications.

“Hour Alarm” makes the phone announcing the time every full hour. This can be done with a “Tone” or a “Voice”. Disabling the function is of course also possible.

The volume of the tone or voice can be adapted.

If you have enabled the tone, you can manually set the “Frequency”…

… and the duration of the tone.

You can choose the path of the voice, the application switches automatically between a preselected path on the phone memory or memory card.

The application doesn’t automatically play the time every hour when it is enabled. You can choose your desired times.

And now to the settings of the time displayed on the screen. “Transparency”  from 0% - 100% be appointed.

Between three “Font Types” can be chosen and with suitable resources every type you like.

And there are even more options: “Font High” can be chosen, and “Bold” and “Italic” fonts can be used.

One of the most important settings: the “Font Color”. With the normal RGB system, you can personalise your displayed time with every color you like. With all settings on “0″, it gets black; with all settings on “255″ it gets white.
Depending of the theme you are using, this setting is important to make the time well readable because of a good contrast.

The time can be displayed everywhere on the screen with “X” and “Y” coordinates, I prefer to display it top left.

And as you can see, the time is displayed top right. It works perfectly and is really useful!

Make sure to copy the audio files with your language which are included into the download package in the directory you chose in the settings.

You can download “TimeBar” here.

Hrm it seems to be pretty resource intensive, i tried running vBagX while the timebar was on, and vBag ran EXTREMELY slow on my n95 8gb

    Maybe I’m out of topic.
But what phone do you use, and what software that you use to take the screen shot.

I’m using just N80 IE, and using software called “SNAPSHOT”, but it can’t take screen shot of opened application.

I hope you’re willing to say.

  11. bery95 Says:

It’s called “Screenshot” by Anthony Pranata and the most famous one for S60v3.

  12. PANGERAN.ORG Says:

Thank you very much for answering me.
This “Sreenshot” by Anthony Pranata is more advance than “Snapshot”.
