ShakeMaster by ShakeLock Developer

Manu was one of the first developers who thought about the nice idea to let the phone execute useful functions with a little shaker for which you would normally need some clicks and menu steps.

His application “ShakeLock” written in Python was the first “shaker application”. It was simple but useful: A little shaker locked the keyboard, a further shaker unlocked them again.
Little gestures like left – right shaking were well though through and made the application quite popular.

Tong Reng followed with the release of “ShakeSMS” which facilitated SMS reading by shaking the phone.

Shortly afterwards Samir released his even more powerful accelerometer application “ShakeMe” which let the user select between several commands being executed after a shaker. Unfortunately, the application is still buggy and scarcely useful.

Now it seems like we are getting another “shaker application” as I just found information that Manu is working at a piece of software called “ShakeMaster”.

There are still no information what it could be about and I don’t want to guess what it could be. Hopefully something innovative and not just a “ShakeMe” copy…

Well, let’s wait for more information. I am very happy about the highly active S60 community which is working on so many interesting accelerometer applications with different concepts!
