I think you all know the very talented developer Sittiphol Phanvilai about whose projects I have written numerous times. Not only because he has become a good friend of mine, mainly because he is just a very talented developer who released various applications with completely new and innovative concepts.
He was the first to release a YouTube client which was able to stream Flash video content from the world’s largest video portal. “MobiTubia” was not able to play every video from YouTube, but had also one of the nicest UIs I have ever seen in an S60 application.
Unfortunately, “emTube” was the first client to be released, because of Sittiphol’s limited time to develop applications during his Thesis, and that’s the reason why “MobiTubia” hasn’t become that successful as it could have done.
He continued by releasing some very little, but indeed useful and very popular applications like the “Themes Launcher” which recovered the removed “Themes” icon in the settings of newer S60v3 FP1 phones to quickly switch a theme and “NeoReboot”, a nice reboot application which was actually only an experiment to test the new Open Signed Online system.
All his developer works showed me his great talent as he developed the two little applications in just a few hours while chatting with me
and I think we don’t have to discuss the great UI and Flash streaming capabilities of “MobiTubia” which needs lot of programming knowledge.

So now I am happy to present you once again exclusively with Marty from Symbian-Freak the new project of Sittiphol which he launched at the same time with the new web page of his own company “Neuvex” he founded while studying for his Thesis.
Obviously he did all his applications while studying, also “MosKillTo” what impresses me so much.
“MosKillTo” is one of the most impressive games I have ever played. It was the first game on the Symbian platform which used the accelerometer of the N82, N95 and N95 8GB to provide the player the possibility to play the game just with motions. I am saying “was”, because you know that “Mirage Money” has been released some time ago with a similar concept regarding the kind of control.
However, “MosKillTo” is much more fun to play: You don’t just collect coins, no. “MosKillTo” has a in my opinion much more interesting gaming concept: it’s a first person shooter.
You are standing in the middle of room and moving around by moving your phone, very similar to “Mirage Money”. The keys are only needed to fire to do like the game’s name says: to kill mosquitoes.
A predefined number of mosquitoes must be killed in two minutes and you will pass to the next stage. If you don’t make it, the game is over.
The demo contains currently two stages which are still very similar, but Sittiphol plans to add lots of different and varying stages. “MosKillto” will be the first commercial application of Sittiphol and the first step to establish his new company.
The full version is not available yet, but there is already a download link for the demo which you can find below.
The game is indeed great fun and I spend hours to play it. Great 3D graphics combined with motion control to remove all mosquitoes from the stage is a kind of a totally new gaming experience.
Just another example is, that “MosKillto” passed the final round of the popular competition Mobile Rules. It didn’t win, but only because Sittiphol was so busy with studying and didn’t make it to send a stable version in time. But even the buggy version was so great it passed till the final – wow!
The current version works perfectly, you must have played this game. You can download the demo on Sittiphol’s new page, exacter in the “MosKillto” section.
And if you like the game, you are welcome to buy the full game which will be released after Sittiphol is confident with the number of stages. Marty and me will be happy to test them.
MosKillTo:

The nice main menu of “MosKillTo” which is visible in the screenshot. The second menu point still looks strange, but is only temporary as Sittiphol changed the “Highscore” system.

At the beginning of the game, you can choose which stage you want to play. As I said, to ones are available, but the second one is locked as long as you didn’t persist the first one.
You also get a little picture which explains motion control, but it’s very intuitive and shouldn’t be a problem.

As explained ahead, you are moving around in this room and shooting moskitoes…

… until three minutes are over or you made it to hit all the twenty insects. Very easy, in my opinion.

Then the highscores are displayed and you can continue with the next stage.

(via SymbianWebBlog) [...]
