After the pretty “revolutionary” firmware updates for Nokia’s latest Nseries flagships, they have also released a new one for the slider phone of their Eseries line, the E65.
The update is really nothing which can be compared with the great updates for the N95, N95 8GB and N82 which brought new great features like geotagging, auto rotation or Flash Lite 3 support. It’s a very basic update which has the task to fix known bugs and improve the stability and won’t impress that much.
Mentioned should still be that the default date has now been changed to 2008. For the other changes, have a look at the change log.
Decide yourself, whether the update is worth it to update your E65 and loose all data.
The firmware update is already available for certain product codes and in Nokia Service Centers, other ones could should be set free progressivly as usual.
