You still remember the last update for Nokia’s Eseries flagship, the Nokia E90? This update has been pulled back by Nokia very fast, because it caused problems for many users.
Nokia has now overworked the great update and released the new FW v210.34.75 which is available for most of the Product Codes through the Nokia Software Updater.

Like the last one, it brings apart form the normal bug fixes and improvments Flash Lite 3 support for the web browser what means that YouTube video can be viewed without 3rd party applications.
Furthermore, it now support web runtime so that you can install widgets on your E90. Unfortunately, I have no access on my E90 at the moment, so I can’t update yet.

So here are the impressions from Steve and Rafe over at AAS:
Flash Lite 3 added, with Flash video support. Rafe reports that his E90 runs YouTube videos perfectly, but on my (admittedly proto) device Web’s still unstable, for me, at least.
Web runtime is also supported.
Maps is still v1.2, i.e. the ‘old’ version
New ‘Set up Internet telephony’ shortcut on standby screen
Includes Quickoffice 4.1.27.5, many enhancements over the old 3.85, although without the extra functions of the v4.5 and v5.0 paid upgrades. There are also extra options in Quickmanager, specifically more rebrands of Epocware products. The new Quickoffice is apparently back-ported from the version which will be standard in S60 3rd Edition FP2.
Application opening and booting seem faster. I don’t think that v210 has demand paging though – seems more like optimisations. The camera seems to start faster, too.
A boat load of bug fixes and tweaks. The ‘Today’/# bug in Calendar seems to have gone away. Anyone confirm this with a decent size Calendar dataset?
Another great update by Nokia, it’s really great for me to see how they support their products with constant updates that make a bought device even better after long period of time.
So start your NSU and update if you own a Nokia E90.

no, i think his e90 has another product key, if he has a branded handy it will take some time it’s available for his e90

i checked soon after this was posted and no update for me either. BTW- does anyone else have the “memory full” bug when trying to customise standby apps on their e90? So annoying. Just locks up for me.
Ince I manage to get Vista running again on my mac I’ll check once more for the update. If not, may have to try and hack it in.
Thanks for the great blog!

Hi,
I upgraded my E90 with firmware 210.34.75. Everything is otherwise as promised, but battery life is radically shorter than previously. Cannot use the phone for a full day without charging the battery. This also means that taking videos or using GPS during the day are pretty much impossible. I even changed every possible battery life saving feature, but very little effect.
Another release then is really welcome, with the battery life at least as long as with previous version. Does anybody know where to get the previous firmware versions?

I updated my E90 with the new firmware 210.34.75. Everything appears to be normal except earpiece volume. It has become mute. I am not able to increase the volume by left/righ key combination or using the full key board special keys. I wrote to Nokia and awaiting reply.

I updated my E90 with the latest firmware, everything was fine but I could not read or write in Chinese any more,I then ask Nokia to help to my dismay till now, it has been 3 months I still could not update the better version that could red or write in Chinese as before,I kept my E90 away since last update,an it has been 3 months and beyond and I have not gotten any news from Nokia Malaysia since then. I am disappointed with this phone and no warning of language change or not compatibility during installation, one more disappointed !
