MobiTubia v1.80 Build 4 released for Donators, will be relased for Public today

April 24, 2008

I just wanted to briefly inform you that the recently released version 1.80 Build 2 of the great and at the moment only working YouTube client will not be the one which will be released to public.

Sittihpol has just published “MobiTubia v1.80 Build 4″ which will also be the version he will release for public today.
This is also the point of time when I am sad to tell you that again some of the donators shared “MobiTubia v1.80 Build 4″ what made Sittihpol really angry. That’s why he decided to support only donators from now on and they will be the only one getting new versions.

Early Return of emTube?

March 9, 2008

It has become very quiet around the once so popular YouTube client. Don’t get me wrong, of course many people are still using the very first application which was able to play every video available on the largest video portal, but we didn’t hear anything about further development and coming updates.

Another strange thing was the disappear of emTube’s official website. When trying to access the page, an error message of the page’s provider appeared. It was offline for weeks, without any comment of the developer.

Preview of the upcoming new emTube Version

March 1, 2008

There is another unpublished beta version of the currently most popular YouTube client – emTube. (I really don’t know who is always sharing these versions?)

The upcoming new version has nice and innovative new features I want to show you with this brief preview. However, this version doesn’t work; there is a bug which makes it impossible to watch any video.
This new version is anyway interesting, because it shows how and which new features will be integrated.

MobiTubia Development continues!!!

January 27, 2008

I can’t tell you how happy I am about it; Sittiphol just informed me, that he reconsidered his decision about canceling “MobiTubia” development.

He will release the current beta version of “MobiTubia” on the 31th January for public on his website and go on developing this great application.

Sittiphol had his reasons, why he didn’t do it earlier, but he decided to run the same path as “emTube” and publish future beta versions on his website.
In my opinion, “MobiTubia” is a very well developed application and could beat “emTube” when some improvements are made.

I am looking forward to the competition. ;)

To have an impression about MobiTubia, you should read my huge preview.

emTube 1.0.10 officially available

January 20, 2008

I posted some beta versions of the unreleased emTube version 1.09. It seems like this version will not be released for public, instead the developer offers brand new version 1.0.10 on his website since today.

Apart from normal stability improvements and bug fixes, “emTube 1.0.10″ includes three new languages (Spanish, Bulgarian and Hebrew).

emTube is now able to find also videos with restricted content.

Additionally, there is a “Sort by” option to arrange searched videos by “Relevance”, “Date added”, “View Count” or “Rating”.

Huge MobiTubia Preview

January 16, 2008

As the first of its sort at the time of “MobiTubia’s” announcement, it was presented as Flash Lite supporting standalone player being able to play EVERY file from the popular video site “YouTube”. 25 000 lines of code were needed to add the feature of Flash Video playback to S60 phones.
Celebrated as a real revolution in mobile video playback on N-Series phones, it won the Grand Prize of the “Open C Challenge”, contaminated with 10 000 dollars.

“MobiTubia” is developed by Sittiphol Phanvilai, a student in master of Engineering Program in Computer at the Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.

I already told you, that I had the honour to be a beta tester of “MobiTubia”. Sittiphol is providing his applications only to bloggers at the moment, so it isn’t accessable for public.

In this post, I want to show you why “MobiTubia” is such an amazing application and you can really count the days till its release.
Sittiphol is always in the process of improving and adding features to “MobiTubia”, so that things could have already been added while you are reading this preview. I was using version 1.68 Build 3 for this article.

Main Menu:

Just after launching “MobiTubia” and skipping the screen displaying its icon, one of the application’s best features jumps into the eye: the great design.
The icons are ordered into a very nice looking circle. Smoothly animated, they turn around like a carousel, when you change to another menu point. This kind is also used by the “Video Centre” application of newer N-Series phones. But of course “MobiTubia” looks much better: the icons are designed so lovely and the animations are simply great, especially in comparison with Nokia’s video application.

emTube 1.09 Beta 5

January 16, 2008

Well, due to the amount of emTube posts, I will not write a lot about it.

I just wanted to inform you, that Beta 5 of emTube 1.09 is downloadable right here.

I am still looking for the change log, so please leave a comment, if you discovered changes.

You can download emTube Beta 5 here. Apart from this, I hope to finish my preview about the best YouTube client, “MobiTubia”, today. ;)

Updated: emTube 1.09 Beta 4 Download

January 11, 2008

Just a few days ago the great YouTube client “emTube 1.08″ has been released bringing new features like searching videos by “ID” or an added ”Saved Videos” folder.

emTube’s developer doesn’t rest and is already working on the next version.

So I think all of you who like this application will be happy about the download of “emTube 1.09″ directly here!

I didn’t find new features on the first view apart from an “Auto Update” option, maybe only bugs have been fixed. But of course you can tell me, if you found changes and I will edit my post.

You can download “emTube 1.09 Beta 4″ here, password: “symbianwebblog”. Please be aware that this is just a beta version and you use it on your own responsibility.

emTube and FlipSilent Updates

January 10, 2008

emTube, the most popular YouTube player, has been updated to brand new version 1.08.

There is a “Saved Videos” folder and you can “View by ID” now to view YouTube videos by entering its IDs. MobiTubia already has this features, it seems to me like they were just copied.

Apart from that, the normal bugs have been fixed and some more translations have been added.

MobiTubia in da House!

January 8, 2008

mobitubia.jpg

I am very proud and happy to tell you, that I finally received the beta version of the long awaited YouTube client MobiTubia.

Many thanks to the developer, Sittiphol Phanvilai, for providing me MobiTubia as one of very few people.

I won’t say a lot in this post. Just have a look at the screenshots and read the little text at the bottom.

As you can see, Sittiphol made a version of MobiTubia especially for me. I accepted terms to not share the application and I fully support them! So please don’t mail me about such requests.
