First official Press Pictures of Nokia E66 and E71

With a lot of live pictures and the FFC approval, the upcoming two business devices E66 and E71 are confirmed, but still unofficial. Suprising for me that we haven’t heard an official statement about both phones yet after such a long period of time since pictures and information are zipping arount the web.

Anway, while we are still waiting for the official announcement of the E66 and E71, the first official press pictures have appeared which show both phones in their whole beauty.

Nokia’s mapping and navigation solutions give people navigation features, local content and world maps directly on their mobile device, in a way that only connected devices can. 

N78 Unboxing Pictures + the new “Nokia Tune” Ringtone ready to download

Who doesn’t know it, the catchy “Nokia Tune” ringtone that is preinstalled on every Nokia phone? It’s probably the most famous existing ringtone and in my opinion a really nice one.

Of course Nokia is constantly developing their mobile phones and the upcoming Nokia phone line seems to have also a “developed Nokia Tune” ringtone inside.

Nokia sees half of Cellphones with GPS in 2010-12

Nokia plans to add navigation to half of the phones it sells within a few years to find new revenue streams amid decreasing handset prices, a senior official at the world’s top cellphone maker said.

Michael Halbherr, the head of Nokia’s location-based activities, told Reuters he remains comfortable with Nokia’s year-old goal for seeing up to 50 percent of its phones equipped with global positioning system (GPS) chips in 2010 to 2012.

Nokia chooses Samsung to build High-End CMOS Image Sensors

According to DigiTimes, Nokia has chosen Samsung Electronics over STMicroelectronics as an additional supplier for high-end 5-megapixel CMOS image sensors, as the South Korea vendor is ahead of STMicroelectronics in pushing the products to market, according to market sources in Taiwan.

Nokia has been buying the bulk of its entry- and mid-range CMOS image sensors from STMicroelectronics, while purchasing the high-end CMOS image sensors for its N-series camera phones from either OmniVision or Aptina, the sources indicated.
