I think most of you who use Microsoft’s Windows Vista are aware of the problem that Nokia has recently removed the official support of Vista for the Nokia Software Updater, the application to self-update the firmware of your S60 device.
This is a response to a configuration change of Vista which expresses the top of the huge compatilibity problems between the desktop operating system and the updater.

I am using Microsoft’s operating system Vista and so I have already made experiences with the problems the Nokia Software Update, Nokia’s tool to give users of their phones the opportunity to update their phones at home, causes when using it with Microsoft’s controversial successor of Windows XP. Microsoft has recently changed Vista configuration which let the number of problems rise onwards.

The N73 is enjoys still great popularity among Nokia users and is because of that frequently improved by Nokia with firmware updates.
There have already been various updates in the last time for Europe and APAC product codes, which have partly been pulled back again by Nokia.

After the pretty “revolutionary” firmware updates for Nokia’s latest Nseries flagships, they have also released a new one for the slider phone of their Eseries line, the E65.
The update is really nothing which can be compared with the great updates for the N95, N95 8GB and N82 which brought new great features like geotagging, auto rotation or Flash Lite 3 support. It’s a very basic update which has the task to fix known bugs and improve the stability and won’t impress that much.

Finally a new N82 firmware is on the way! As usual, Teo from Symbian Freak has his trusted source which already confirmed the updates for the N95 and N95 8GB and has now done so for the release of v20.0.62 in a few days.
As I have announced, the new N82 firmware brings full Flash Lite 3 support to give users the possibility to view YouTube videos and of course other Flash content in the default browser.
Furthermore, Widget support has been added as well as the already known onbaord geotagging function which uses the GPS chip to save your current position in the EXIF file of a photo.

Again Teo from Symbian-Freak is very well informed about coming firmware updates. He has been the first who introduced the new firmware v21.0.016 for the N95 a couple of weeks and is now the first who has news about a new firmware for the N95 8GB.
The new firmware is not a revolutionary one, but brings new interesting features.

Wow, I have just read over at Symbian-Freak that the N95 will get another unbelievably impressive firmware update.
v21.0.016 is the firmware version we thought would never be released and would be only for developers. It was testable at Nokia’s Remote Device Access and many people wondered why Nokia doesn’t release it.
