I think you all know one of the greatest accelerometer application which is available at the moment and plays probably still the most important role in the section of S60 motion input software, describing an impressive example of what users of a accelerometer supporting S60 handset can do with an application which makes full use of sensor technology.
“RockNScroll”, developed by Keynetik, Inc., a pioneer of motion input technology for mobile handheld electronic devices such as cell phones, cameras, media players, gaming consoles, personal navigation devices and digital assistants, brought motion input capabilites to S60 handsets with built in accelerometers like the N82, N95 and N95 8GB.

Samsung investigates more and more in the smartphone market and introduces apart from Windows Mobile based phones also Symbian S60 modells like their impressive flagship G810 which is based on S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 and brings a lot of features that we only knew from Nokia’s Nseries before.
You may remember that another S60 based modell has been spotted at the Tele-Vision in Nieuwegein. Parts of the Samsung L870 became already common there, however there were still a lot of unanswered questions about Samsung’s latest S60 smartphone.

I have just found another very cool multiplayer game which makes use of the accelerometer of the N95 and N95 8GB and N82.
Inspired by the popular “LightSaber”, Phone Fight is a prototype sword-fighting game for two players equipped with Nokia N95 or compatible phones. It makes use of the accelerometer within the phones to detect simulated sword slashes and blocks, and Bluetooth to communicate those moves between the phones and to notify the winning player of victory.
