I have already seen some pictures some days ago at USEB of a possible new Sony Ericsson UIQ 3.3 phone. Now some further pictures showing the proper device have occured and so the rumours about it seem to be worthy enough to be posted.
The new upcoming Sony Ericsson phone is the second one after “Paris” featuring the new UIQ 3.3 user interface as you can see on the pictures below.

I think you all know the leading office software “Quickoffice” for Symbian S60 and UIQ phones and only application which has full Office 2007 support. “Quickoffice” is able to display and edit Word, Excel and Powerpoint files.
Now there is happening something really strange over at the official Quickoffice blog. There is a new uncategorized post with the topic “New Release! Quickoffice Premier 6.0” with a picture of v5.0.

Based on our preliminary market estimate, Nokia’s market share for the first quarter 2008 was 39%, compared with 36% in the first quarter 2007 and 40% in the fourth quarter 2007. Our year on year market share increase was driven primarily by our strong position in the fastest growing markets globally and by strong share gains in Latin America, Asia-Pacific, China and to a lesser extent in Europe. Our market share decreased significantly year on year in North America. Our market share in Middle East & Africa was approximately at the same level year on year. We had strong sequential market share gains in Latin America. Our market share decreased significantly sequentially in Middle East & Africa and North America and to a lesser extent in Europe and Asia-Pacific. Our market share in China was approximately at the same level sequentially.

I have written numerous times (here and here) about the very promising browser “Skyfire” which should be a household name for most of you. In case you still haven’t heard about this promising application, I will explain in short words why “Skyfire” causes so much intention in the Symbian world.
Skyfire is a free, downloadable mobile web browser that makes browsing on your phone exactly like browsing on your PC. You can view wany content you like e.g. watch Flash videos on YouTube, view JAVA content, listen to music and so on. “Skyfire” uses a server rendering engine which provides not only the possibility to view everything you like as I mentioned, but also very fast page rendering and unburdening the phone’s RAM.

I have already posted the press release about a cooperation with Symbian and Dolby to bring rich and vibrant surround sound from various types of mobile entertainment content, including music, movies, television, and games, to Symbian smartphones.
The new Dolby sound was already presented at CTIA Las Vegas at the Symbian booth. IntoMobile has been there and posted some interesting pictures and information about the new Dolby application running on an N95 8GB.
