Nice Sony Ericsson G700 and G900 Promotion Videos

I have just found two very nice official promotion videos of the two upcoming devices Sony Ericsson G700 and G900. The mid-class and high-end modell which are based on UIQ 3.0 offer great features and a great touchscreen controlled user interface.

The G700 is a compact personal organiser with large 2.4 inch display screen and a unique single-touch control menu. It features a 3.2 megapixel camera and has a simple touchscreen user interface based on UIQ for intuitive phone and web navigation, while offering easy access to a rich suite of applications.

CorePlayer v1.2.4 released, supports Flash Video Files

CoreCodec has just updated one of the most famous media players for mobile phones, the “CorePlayer”. The “CorePlayer” is famous for the wide range of formats it is able to play and has become even more popular since the last update which brought YouTube support for a part of Symbian devices.

The brand new update v1.2.4 for the Symbian platform, so both UIQ and S60 devices is another nice update which improves stability and brings new features.

Amazing Video Hands On with the N96

There weren’t much news related with Nokia’s new Nseries flagship, the N96, the last weeks and months. After the rumour about a possible Xenon flash (about which we still don’t know anything new), I didn’t hear anything important about the upcoming multimedia beast which shall be the real successor of Nokia’s more than successful one-year flagship N95.

Video: S60 RC truck catching eyes at the Web 2.0 Expo

Saara from See into S60 has attended the Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco and reports that the greatest attraction has definetly been the S60 RC truck. This little vehicle is controlled with a Python-based application, the Shaker Racer, on a Nokia N95. The application uses the accelometer of the Nokia N95 to communicate with the truck over Bluetooth.

MobiTubia v1.80 Build 2 released for Donators

There is finally a new version for the great YouTube client “MobiTubia” developed by my friend Sittiphol Phanvilai. He has just released v1.80 Build 2 in the donator forum of the official “MobiTubia” page.

3rd party applications which can access YouTube content like “MobiTubia” and “emTube” are still the first choice for nearly all Symbian users, because viewing through the Flash Lite 3 supporting browser which the N82, N95 and N95 8GB is still very uncomfortable without a full screen mode and a very slowly working browser.

Video: Skyfire in Motion

I have written numerous times (here and here) about the very promising browser “Skyfire” which should be a household name for most of you. In case you still haven’t heard about this promising application, I will explain in short words why “Skyfire” causes so much intention in the Symbian world.

Skyfire is a free, downloadable mobile web browser that makes browsing on your phone exactly like browsing on your PC. You can view wany content you like e.g. watch Flash videos on YouTube, view JAVA content,  listen to music and so on. “Skyfire” uses a server rendering engine which provides not only the possibility to view everything you like as I mentioned, but also very fast page rendering and unburdening the phone’s RAM.
