New Whitepaper confirms Flash Lite 3 Support of the Sony Ericsson G900

The latest Nseries devices N82, N95 and N95 8GB have all obtained the useful support for Flash Lite 3 which enables their browsers to view full flash content including web videos from portals like YouTube or Dailymotion.

The recently published whitepaper of the upcoming new UIQ 3.0 flagship, the G900 reveals that finally also the first UIQ phone will get Flash Lite 3 support.

CorePlayer v1.2.4 released, supports Flash Video Files

CoreCodec has just updated one of the most famous media players for mobile phones, the “CorePlayer”. The “CorePlayer” is famous for the wide range of formats it is able to play and has become even more popular since the last update which brought YouTube support for a part of Symbian devices.

The brand new update v1.2.4 for the Symbian platform, so both UIQ and S60 devices is another nice update which improves stability and brings new features.

MobiTubia v1.80 Build 4 released for Donators, will be relased for Public today

I just wanted to briefly inform you that the recently released version 1.80 Build 2 of the great and at the moment only working YouTube client will not be the one which will be released to public.

Sittihpol has just published “MobiTubia v1.80 Build 4″ which will also be the version he will release for public today.
This is also the point of time when I am sad to tell you that again some of the donators shared “MobiTubia v1.80 Build 4″ what made Sittihpol really angry. That’s why he decided to support only donators from now on and they will be the only one getting new versions.

MobiTubia v1.80 Build 2 released for Donators

There is finally a new version for the great YouTube client “MobiTubia” developed by my friend Sittiphol Phanvilai. He has just released v1.80 Build 2 in the donator forum of the official “MobiTubia” page.

3rd party applications which can access YouTube content like “MobiTubia” and “emTube” are still the first choice for nearly all Symbian users, because viewing through the Flash Lite 3 supporting browser which the N82, N95 and N95 8GB is still very uncomfortable without a full screen mode and a very slowly working browser.

Video: YouTube on the N95 Classic

As I have reported, Nokia is going to release the new N95 firmware v21.0.016 in a few days. The update brings above all full Flash Lite 3 support for the default S60 browser what means that videos of every online video portal can be viewed directly into the N95 browser.

Wow, I have just read over at Symbian-Freak that the N95 will get another unbelievably impressive firmware update.

v21.0.016 is the firmware version we thought would never be released and would be only for developers. It was testable at Nokia’s Remote Device Access and many people wondered why Nokia doesn’t release it.

Early Return of emTube?

It has become very quiet around the once so popular YouTube client. Don’t get me wrong, of course many people are still using the very first application which was able to play every video available on the largest video portal, but we didn’t hear anything about further development and coming updates.

Another strange thing was the disappear of emTube’s official website. When trying to access the page, an error message of the page’s provider appeared. It was offline for weeks, without any comment of the developer.

MobiTubia v1.76 Build 4 fixes major Bug

Maybe some of you have discovered, that one of the best YouTube clients, “MobiTubia” didn’t work anymore: videos and thumbnails were simply not loaded.

The developer received many emails about the dysfunction and reacted fast: He discovered that YouTube changed something in their system which made “MobiTubia” work faulty and then adapted the application to work again.

Noob Section: Mobile Browsing including YouTube Experience

With this new article of my “Noob Section” I want to show you how to enjoy mobile browsing without abandoning YouTube videos. This post is thought for most S60v3 devices apart from the N95 8GB which does already support Flash videos.

All other devices have a browser which is not compatible with Flash Lite 3 content. However, you can use the great YouTube client “MobiTubia” having a great feature called “Open Web Clip”. You can enter the address of any YouTube clip containing web page. “MobiTubia” shows you automatically all the clips which are embedded on this site and you can play them with the external YouTube client.
